Travel Cakes

(Gateaux de Voyage)

Also called Gâteaux de voyage, the travel cake was first created in 17th century France by Marquise de Sévigné’s pastry chef who had to prepare cakes that could be stored over time and be easy to eat during her week-long journey between Brittany and the Palace of Versailles.

The travel cake is significantly more dense, in a good way, and much more flavourful. A must for our “snow birds” customers.
